The trial team of Bob Stoler, Mary Thomas and Paralegal Jessica Magro successfully defended Florida Farm Bureau General Insurance Company in a claim for underinsured motorist benefits during a jury trial which commenced January 26, 2009 before the Honorable Stanley Mills in New Port Richey. The Plaintiff asked the jury for a figure in excess of $387,000.00, but the jury ultimately awarded $53,000.00. This will result in a net recovery in the amount of $3,000.00 in favor of the Plaintiff after the applicable reduction for money she had received prior to initiation of trial. The net recovery to the Plaintiff was substantially less than the amount which was offered prior to the initiation of litigation.
