Matthew Wilson concentrates his practice primarily in the defense of auto, premises and complex civil liability claims, and civil rights litigation. Mr. Wilson also represents plaintiffs in personal injury matters and performs appellate work. Since joining the firm, Mr. Wilson has participated in several trials, representing clients including the Pasco County Sheriff's Office, Pinellas County Sheriff's Office and Dillard's Inc. Mr. Wilson is admitted to practice in the State of Florida, the United States District Courts for the Northern, Middle and Southern Districts of Florida, the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit, and the Supreme Court of the United States. Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Wilson was an Assistant State Attorney for the Office of Bernie McCabe in Pinellas County for nearly 7 years. While at the State Attorney's Office, Mr. Wilson tried over 70 cases including 1st and 2nd Degree Murder charges, DUI Manslaughter and numerous other violent felonies. Mr. Wilson was a member of the DUI Manslaughter squad and was recognized in 2002 for his service to the community by RID (Remove Intoxicated Drivers). |
