William Schifino,
Sr. leads the firm's corporate and securities
practice group. Mr. Schifino specializes in
securities law, municipal (tax exempt) finance,
and mergers and acquisitions. In his long and
distinguished legal career, Mr. Schifino has
represented investment banking firms and issuers
in connection with public and private financings,
successfully assisting over one hundred clients
in their quests to expand privately held entities
into publicly traded companies.
Mr. Schifino also works
closely with investment banking firms and municipalities
on tax-exempt bond issues and other financing
methods. His experience spans a wide range of
corporate and municipal financings, including
initial and secondary public offerings of common
stock, debentures, convertible debentures, real
estate investment trusts and various forms of
municipal bond issues and other financing measures.
Mr. Schifino
was a member of the staff of the Securities and
Exchange Commission in Washington, D.C., Division
of Corporation Finance. In 1966, Mr. Schifino
relocated to Tampa, where he established his own
firm specializing in securities-related work,
and for over thirty years has provided clients
with legal services relating to general corporate
matters, merges and acquisitions and corporate
and municipal financings. |
