Rob Williams is the senior member of the firm's litigation group. He has over 35 years of experience in all areas of trial practice, including jury and non-jury trials, arbitrations and mediations. Mr. Williams specializes in complex business, health care, and securities litigation. He has successfully tried numerous jury trials including complex breach of contract disputes, business tort claims, securities fraud cases, real estate and construction claims, patent infringement, corporate governance and other business organization disputes, statutory and constitutional tort cases, negligence and medical malpractice claims, employment discrimination suits, and the defense of white collar criminal prosecutions. In addition, due to his experience with both the business and legal aspects of the health care industry, Mr. Williams often assists clients in the health care field to proactively address business and legal concerns. Mr. Williams has also served as an arbitrator for the National Futures Association.

While actively involved in his profession, Mr. Williams has dedicated substantial time and energy to community service. He has served as President and remains on the Board of the Tampa-Hillsborough County Drug Abuse Comprehensive Coordinating Office (DACCO), a nationally recognized not for profit drug abuse education and prevention program, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Hillsborough County Hospital Authority (Tampa General Hospital), Chairman of the Florida Bar's Committee on Judicial Nominating Commissions, Chairman of the Judicial Nominating Commission for the Thirteenth Judicial Circuit of Florida, President of the Tampa Bay Chapter of the Federal Bar Association, as well as other community and professional positions.

In 1999 Mr. Williams received the Michael A. Fogarty Award for excellence in civil litigation from the Trial Lawyers Section of the Hillsborough County Bar Association. More recently, he was named as one of Who's Who in Tampa Bay Business by the Tampa Bay Business Journal. He is an instrument rated private pilot and is conversant in Spanish.
