Marshall Rainey
has a broad range of business, real estate,
and litigation experience. His practice is concentrated
in the areas of real estate related litigation
and transactions. He is also experienced in
environmental litigation, eminent domain, bankruptcy
proceedings, creditor’s rights, construction
litigation, and various federal and state administrative
matters.
Mr. Rainey’s practice is
focused on the representation of commercial
lenders, land owners, and commercial developers
in the acquisition and financing of projects
throughout West Central Florida. His litigation
work also focuses heavily on real property,
with most of the work related to contractual
disputes, title and boundary issues, environmental
matters, and condemnation. In addition, Mr.
Rainey has conducted several trials, jury and
non-jury, during his career, and has litigated
a variety of matters, including environmental
contamination cases, orders of taking, foreclosures,
quiet title and restrictive covenant enforcement
actions, non-compete and trade secret cases,
and a variety of other business related and
contract cases.
Mr. Rainey is a member
of the Hillsborough County Bar Association (Co-Chairman
Eminent Domain Section 2004 – 2006) and the
American Bar Association Section on Litigation.
He is admitted to practice in the state of Florida,
the U.S. District Courts for the Northern, Middle
and Southern Districts of Florida, and the Eleventh
Circuit Court of Appeal.
Mr. Rainey has been an
active member of various business and civic
organizations, including service on the Board
of Directors for the Greater Brandon Chamber
of Commerce as Consulting Attorney and as a
Director, and serving as a Board Member and
Chairman of the Campo Family, Brandon, Florida
YMCA.
