Ken Turkel's practice is focused in the areas of complex business and business tort litigation, general civil litigation, and sports and entertainment law. Mr. Turkel has extensive experience providing advice to clients in all phases of business disputes, and litigating those cases through trial when necessary. He has represented clients in a variety of industries in disputes involving breach of contract, fraud, restrictive covenants, unfair and illegal business practices, professional and other negligence, government investigations, intellectual property disputes, shareholder disputes and business torts such as breach of fiduciary duty. He also has significant experience in the areas of personal injury and wrongful death litigation.

Mr. Turkel also heads the firm’s Sports and Entertainment law practice group, representing a wide range of clients, including a number of Olympic athletes, professional baseball players, screenwriters, and film production companies. He specializes in negotiating and drafting athlete endorsement contracts, and providing general legal advice to our athlete clients, as well as professional leagues, and national governing bodies. Through the firm’s affiliated company, Team One Management, Mr. Turkel also provides athletes with marketing services and general career business guidance.

A native of Tampa, Florida, Mr. Turkel has been actively involved in The Florida Bar, as a former member of the Board of Governors for the Young Lawyers Division, and as a member of the Code and Rules of Evidence Committee (Vice-Chair 1998-2002). He is on the Board of Directors of the Hillsborough County Bar Association, and will serve as President of the Association in 2009-10. He is also a former chair of the Hillsborough County Bar Association's Trial Lawyers Section.

Mr. Turkel was the recipient of the Hillsborough County Bar Association's Outstanding Young Lawyer Award for 1999-2000. He is AV rated by the Martindale Hubbell Legal Directory, and was elected by his peers for inclusion in the 2009 edition of “The Best Lawyers in America” in the area of Commercial Litigation.
